MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal Review
MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal Review (Dunlop)
The MXR Carbon Copy is a really nice and dead silent analog delay pedal perfect for just about any styles of music that require a delay ambiance. You can get anything from a short slap back delay tone for your typical Rockabilly or Country music all the way through to long extended delays for ambient solos and rhythm parts. The Modulation options adds a touch of a chorus type effect which can be useful for getting “out of the box” type tones which some people will surely like. I had a chance to test this against the Aqua-Puss delay pedal and I have to say this is every bit as good, and in many ways more versatile with longer delay times and the modulate function. It runs on 9 volts and any regular power supply unit will power this pedal no problems at all. You can also adjust the modulation setting of the pedal internally so you can have more or less of the modulation effect.
This is a great pedal and I think it will stand the test of time as one of the best delay pedals on the market.
[usr 4.5]
Overall I give the MXR Carbon Copy a 4.5/5 stars. It’s a great pedal for someone who wants a professional, low noise and highly useful delay pedal.
